No Posts for a While

Hi everyone! I hope you all have been doing well. Just wanted to let you know that I will be leaving for vacation this Friday, finally! So I won't be posting for a while. I was hoping to get something done in my craft room this week but I've been too busy getting things ready for the trip (and trying to get my kids and myself healthy again so we can enjoy our vacation). :( I hope you all have a great 2 weeks! Don't Adjust Your Computers

Everyone, do not adjust your computers...this is not in black and white. The colors I used here are black, gray, and white because those are the colors of my son's football team--the Raiders. This is a gift card holder for my son's football coach so I had to make them in the team's colors! In person they don't look this boring, honestly. This holder was fun to make and has a very substantial feel with a professional look on the inside. I followed the tutorial on Stamping with Roxy's website: http://www.stampingwithroxy.typepad.com/. Follow this link and look up the Gift Card Tutorial. With a Christmas theme they would be great to give out for the holidays. Give it a try!

I Scream for Ice Cream!

Hi there everyone. Did you all make a card on World Card Making Day? I sure did and here it is. Isn't this ice cream cone just the cutest?! I make the scoops with my scallop circle punch and rounding the top with my Creative Memory circle cutting system. And my favorite part is the cone. I cut out a cone shape and then embossed it with a Cuttlebug embossing folder. It looks so real, don't you think? Then I added a little glitter to make it look frosty. Yum! :)

Scrapbooking on the Wall

Check this out! Isn't it just the neatest thing?! It is a framed, magnetic, changeable scrapbook page from Creative Memories. The background is magnetic and it comes with 4 very strong magnets which can hold photos, card stock, notes, etc. It also comes with the ribbon attached at the top and across the middle, as well and the little clothespins. You can hang it on the wall using the knob it came with or place it on a table using the fold down stand in the back. For mine I cut a piece of DP to fit in the background, cut out the Happy Halloween which was accented with CS to hang by the clothespins, and added the photos (from last year's Halloween--don't you just love my daughter's red wig?). After Halloween I can change the theme to Christmas, then birthdays, etc. It comes in two sizes and three colors. This one is the smaller of the two and it cost $35.00. I just love it and will get years of use out of it.

Tricky Ricky

Here's another cute guy from Rubber Soul. His name is Ricky Raccoon and you can see by the name of his book that he's trying to pick out a really good spell to play a trick on you. :)

Finally...a post!!!

Oh my gosh it's been so long since I've posted a card here! I'm so sorry. I subscribe to a ton of blogs and look forward to looking at their new creations everyday. So, even though I don't know most of you, I feel bad that I haven't been sharing any projects with you and given you something to look at (although I'm sure you have had lots of other sites to look at instead). My son's football team made it into the playoffs, which is great for them but that means one more week of this madness for us. So things will quiet down after that and I should have some regular stamping time. Except after next week I have to start packing and getting things ready for our Florida trip. 1 week at Disney and 5 days in St. Petersburg...ahhh I can't wait!!! :) Please pray for good weather for us. Weather, that's the terrible part, you have no control over it. You can plan every aspect of your trip and have everything worked out just right, but if the weather is bad all is ruined. So again, please say a little prayer for no hurricanes or storms.

Alright, on to the card! This is a birthday card I made for a friend super quick last Monday night. I was at her house Monday night for a Creative Memories party and found out it was her birthday the next day. I felt terrible that I didn't know this. I mean, making cards for birthdays...that's what I do! That's what this hobby is for, for Pete's sake! So after I got home and put my kids to bed I rushed downstairs to make her a card. But I had to wait until she received it before I could share it with you. Hope you like it as much as she did. Mary
